Greenhouse Gas Benchmark Rule (Generation) No. 2 of 2003

The Greenhouse Gas Benchmark Rule (Generation) No. 2 of 2003, the Generation Rule sets out:

  • Types of eligible activities
  • Eligible applicants
  • Classification of generating systems
  • NSW production baselines
  • Detailed calculation methodologies.

Plain English guidance is provided in the Guide to Applying – Generation Rule. However, this guide is not a substitute for the Generation Rule and project proponents are advised to familiarise themselves with the Generation Rule.

The Generation Rule was most recently revised on 23 December 2005. Provided below is the current Generation Rule, an extract from the NSW Government Gazette and the previous Generation Rule for information.
